JTB Inbound Trip and ThinkAR Sign MOU to Advance Tourism and Hospitality Support with AiLENS V1

ThinkAR Japan Co., Ltd. and JTB Inbound Trip Co., Ltd. (JIT) have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore the use of ThinkAR’s AI smart glasses, AiLENS V1, across Japan’s tourism and hospitality sectors.

The collaboration will explore practical use cases at hotels, visitor information centers, tour desks, tourism facilities, and transportation hubs. By using AiLENS V1’s real-time translation and AI assistant capabilities, the companies aim to support multilingual communication with inbound travelers while improving frontline service and operations.

AiLENS V1 connects to a smartphone and displays translations and AI-assisted information directly within the wearer’s field of view. This allows frontline staff to access information without repeatedly looking down at a smartphone, helping them stay engaged with guests and their surroundings.

JIT and ThinkAR will work with tourism and hospitality partners to develop and validate practical use cases, operating models, and potential commercial applications for AI wearables.
